The Blog Module is used in a wide-array of slides in Contegro. This module centralizes most of the Web Portal functionalities such as Health and Safety, Noticeboard, Job Vacancies and etc
- To manage topics, open the Contegro start menu and select Add-on Modules > Blog > Topics.
- Search fields are available if you want to locate a specific topic or use the Categories to filter the existing list
Add Topics
- Click [New Topic]
- Update settings in the [Edit Topic] tab.
Topic Title Set the blog topic (or article) title. Topic URL Name This is the topic URL which is used to make up part of the URL string.
By default, this field is auto-populated with the blog topic title (above).Author Set the topic author (optional). This field is auto-populated with the name of the administrator currently logged in. Date Set the topic date.
By default this field is populated with today's date.Image Select a topic image Click the [...] button to select an image in the images folder.
TIP: To remove the selected image, delete the image file path from this field.
Summary Add a brief summary about the topic Categories Select one or more categories to associate your blog topic with.
NOTE: This will assign your topic to the slides (eg. Health and Saftey, Vacancies, Noticeboard)
Publish Start Set the topic publish start date or leave blank to start publishing from today (optional). Publish End Set the topic publish end date or leave blank to keep publishing indefinitely (optional). Publish Start Time Set the topic publish start time, or leave blank to set 00:00 by default. This can only be set in 15 minute increments Publish End Time Set the topic publish end time, or leave blank to set 23:45 by default. This can only be set in 15 minute increments Permission Set topic permissions (optional). By default, topics will be public unless the category they belong to has set permissions. Status Set the topic status (Active, Inactive or Deleted)
- Click Save
Editing Topics
- Click [Edit Topic]
- Update the settings
- Click Save
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some fields are customised for some environments . Please check your customised client articles or slide template articles on which fields to update.
