Please follow the steps below to manually upgrade the Digital Signage app version on your LG digital display:
- Power the LG display on using the remote
- Open the LG Server Settings
- To access the Server Settings on the LG SM5KB Series (WebOS 2.0) or LG SM5KC Series (WebOS 3.0):
- Press and hold the Settings (
) button on the LG remote control until a chat bubble icon appears in the top-right corner.
- When bubble icon appears, press 8 0 8 0 then OK on the remote.
- Press and hold the Settings (
- To access the Server Settings page on the LG SM5KD Series (WebOS 3.2) or LG SM5KE Series (WebOS 4.0):
- Press the Settings (
) button on the remote
- In the Settings menu, locate and open EZSettings > SI Server Settings
- Press the Settings (
- To access the Server Settings on the LG SM5KB Series (WebOS 2.0) or LG SM5KC Series (WebOS 3.0):
- When you've successfully opened the Server Settings, check the following settings:
- Application Launch Mode = Local
- Fully Qualified Domain Name = ON
- App Download URL:
- The custom IPK URL supplied to you via email
OR - http://digitalcomms.nz/webos/com.lg.app.signage.ipk
- The custom IPK URL supplied to you via email
- File Type = IPK
- Application Launch Mode = Local
- To start the app upgrade, set Local Application Upgrade to Remote
Select Confirm
Note: A message will appear on the screen confirming that the upgrade is successful - Turn the TV off if the app download is successful. Then turn it back on.
Note: The Digital Signage app will automatically start after the TV is powered on. Please wait a few seconds until a green screen appears.
