File to Image Slides (PPTX & PDF)
Why use file to image conversion
The Vibe Image-to-Slide SharePoint integration allows organizations to convert existing PPTX and PDF files into visual content that is immediately usable within the Image (Multi) template.
This template supports multiple images per slide, configurable display order, automated cycling, and visibility rules such as “show only three items per rotation” to avoid repetition and visual fatigue. This matters when large volumes of documents are produced because it lets teams publish many updates without overwhelming viewers, and mix document slides with other communications for balance. The template also supports variable aspect ratios, using fit-contain or pan-scroll effects to ensure text and diagrams are readable on different screen types.
The result is a lightweight publishing pipeline that turns SharePoint into a scalable content engine for digital signage, screensavers, and workplace channels without design overhead.
Integration Steps
In the Vibe Admin Console, go to Add-On Modules > SharePoint API > Settings.
Under the SHAREPOINT FOLDERS tab:
- Click [+ NEW FOLDER]
- Enter the SharePoint folder URL* in the URL field
The correct way to enter the SharePoint Folder URL is: - Open the folder in SharePoint

- Click [Save]
IMPORTANT - Conversion Notes:
- When you save your changes, a message will appear:
"When you link this folder, any PDF or PowerPoint files it contains will be automatically converted into JPG images.

You receive 100 free conversions per month by default. To increase your allowance, please contact Vibe Support."
- A file conversion is triggered when a PowerPoint or PDF file is added or modified in the linked SharePoint folder.
- Multi-page documents are supported - Each page will be converted into a separate JPG slide list item.
- When the monthly limit is reached, an email alert is sent to the address entered in the Email Notification field.
Create a Slide

Use-case Scenarios

Continuous document publishing at scale
A corporate services team uploads numerous policy updates and training materials into SharePoint each month. Instead of manually creating slides for each file, they convert them automatically to display three random documents per playlist rotation. The mix keeps content fresh and avoids repetitive loops, while ensuring key updates surface regularly.

Departmental reporting
A finance team stores multiple performance PDF reports in SharePoint. They use the "file-to-image" function in Vibe to see PDFs onscreen, as slides, enabling 'pan-scroll' animation to maintain readability of charts. The result is that departments get timely visibility of numbers without opening files or waiting for presentations.

Project Status Updates
A transformation project team regularly released a stream of project status presentations as PPTX files and distributed them via Email. Now with Vibe, the team assigns the file to a playlist with controlled visibility. Other slides they add to support their project are: health & safety and staff recognition. This provides broad awareness of progress while maintaining an engaging and balanced channel experience.
