Software Errors - Troubleshooting

Having Trouble Uploading or Saving?

We know how frustrating it can be when a file doesn’t upload or content save as expected. Most issues are quick to fix and are usually related to file settings, browser behaviour, or a temporary connection hiccup.

Below, you’ll find common error messages and simple steps to get things back on track. If you’re still stuck, please contact Vibe Support and include:
  1. The exact error message (if shown)
  2. A screenshot
  3. The file type and size (if related to uploads)
  4. The browser and device you are using
  5. The steps you took before the issue occurred

FAQ

Why am I seeing “Upload Blocked”?
If you see an “Upload Blocked” message (Not allowed due to company policy), the restriction may be coming from your organisation’s security settings rather than Vibe itself. Some companies use device or network policies that prevent file uploads to external platforms, limit certain file types, or restrict uploads from managed devices.

What to try:

  1. Refresh the page and try again.
  2. Try a different supported browser.
  3. If permitted, try from another device or network.
  4. Check whether you’re connected to a company VPN.

If the issue only happens on your work device, it’s likely a company policy setting. In that case, your internal IT team can help review access.

If you’re unsure, our Support team is always happy to take a look — just send us a screenshot and a quick note about what you’re seeing.

Why won’t my file upload?
If your file isn’t uploading, it’s usually due to one of the following:
  1. The file is larger than the maximum allowed size
  2. The file type isn’t supported
  3. Your internet connection was interrupted
  4. The browser session timed out
What to try:
  1. Check the file size and format.
  2. Refresh the page and try again.
  3. Make sure your internet connection is stable.
  4. Rename the file to remove special characters (e.g. %, #, &, /).

Why does my upload keep failing?
Repeated upload failures are often caused by:
  1. An unstable internet connection
  2. A browser caching issue
  3. A temporary system delay
What to try:
  1. Hard refresh the page (Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows / Cmd + Shift + R on Mac).
  2. Clear your browser cache.
  3. Try uploading using a different supported browser (e.g. Chrome, Edge, Safari).
  4. Reduce the file size if possible.
Why can’t I save my changes?
This typically happens when:
  1. A required field hasn’t been completed
  2. There’s a formatting error (e.g. invalid date or URL)
  3. Your session has expired
What to try:
  1. Check for any highlighted or required fields.
  2. Review date, email, or URL formatting.
  3. Copy your content temporarily.
  4. Refresh the page and log in again if needed.
My changes didn’t save — what happened?
In most cases, this is caused by:
  1. A session timeout due to inactivity
  2. A brief network interruption
  3. A browser caching issue
To prevent this:
  1. Save regularly when working on longer content.
  2. Avoid leaving the page idle for extended periods.
  3. Keep a stable internet connection.
  4. If content appears missing, try refreshing the page first.

Why am I seeing “Session Expired”?
For security reasons, sessions automatically end after a period of inactivity.
Simply log back in and continue working. If you were editing content, check whether a draft was saved before re-entering any lost changes.
If sessions are expiring unusually quickly, please contact Vibe Support.

What does “Required Field” or “Validation Error” mean?
This means the system needs specific information before it can save your content.
Common causes include:
  • Missing title or mandatory field
  • Text exceeding character limits
  • Incorrect formatting (e.g. date or URL)
Check the highlighted fields and update them before saving again.

Why am I getting a “File Too Large” error?
Each upload has a maximum file size limit.
You can:
  • Compress the file
  • Reduce image resolution
  • Split content into multiple files
If your file appears within the allowed limit but is still rejected, contact Vibe Support with the exact file size.

Why can’t I edit content?
This is usually due to permissions linked to your User Account.
Please contact your account administrator to confirm your access level. If you believe you should have edit access, Vibe Support can help review your permissions.
