Video Optimisation
Prepare and optimise videos for reliable uploading and smooth playback on your Vibe channel.
Before you begin
For the best results, please understand that videos should meet these requirements:
| Format | MP4 |
| Video codec | H.264 |
| Frame rate | Constant frame rate |
| Maximum file size | Less than 1 GB |
| Audio | Remove when it isn’t required |
| Filename | Letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores only |
Avoid special characters such as &, +, brackets and punctuation. Examples of supported filenames include:
- company-update.mp4
- health_and_safety_v2.mp4
- welcomevideo1.mp4
Download and open HandBrake
- Download and install https://handbrake.fr from the official HandBrake website and install the appropriate version for your computer
- Open the app, you'll see the option to upload a video, Drag and drop video or upload a video.
- Follow the steps to optimize the video.
- If you don't need audio, please remove the audio now.
- Save the video in .mp4 format
- Click Start Encode to convert your video.
- Upload the compressed version into your slide
- Wait at least 5 minutes - until the next database 'sync' runs on your Vibe channel.
*Constant Framerate
- Check the video encoding information in Handbrake.
- If the framerate of your video is not Constant Framerate, set the FPS to ‘constant framerate’(2) and check the video is saving in .MP4 format (4). Check video encode is H.264 (x264)
