Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a one‑time code from an authenticator app in addition to your password. Your organisation may require it for all users.

Prerequisites

  1. Your mobile device.
  2. A TOTP-compatible authenticator app installed on your device:
    1. Microsoft Authenticator
    2. Google Authenticator 
    3. Twilio Authy
  3. Access to your Vibe.fyi Portal for initial setup.

NB: If you’re already using Azure Single Sign-on, 2FA cannot be enabled.

If you don't see what you are expecting as shown below, seek confirmation from your Vibe.fyi administrator or the Vibe.fyi support team that 2FA has been enabled for you.

2FA Setup for Organisations with Site-Wide Mandate

This section applies when your organisation enforces a site-wide mandate requiring all users to set up two-factor authentication (2FA). During your first login on a web browser, you will be prompted to complete the 2FA setup.

For organisations setup with 2FA, any user must complete the setup before you can continue to use the Vibe Portal.
  1. Open your organisation’s Vibe.fyi portal URL in a web browser.
  2. Enter your email address and password.
  3. When prompted, begin the 2FA setup as follows:
    1. On your Mobile Phone, open your authenticator app and select Add account.
    2. Scan the QR code displayed on the web page.
    3. Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by your authenticator app into the web page.
    4. Select Verify to complete the setup and continue logging in.


Logging in with 2FA for Security-Conscious Users

This section explains how to log in when you have voluntarily enabled 2FA on your account using a web browser.
  1. Open your organisation’s Vibe.fyi portal URL in a web browser.
  2. Navigate to 'Your Account' page
  3. Click to open [Set up Two Factor Authentication]
  4. When prompted, begin the 2FA setup as follows:
    1. On your Mobile Phone, open your authenticator app, and Register Your Details
    2. Scan the QR code displayed on the web page.
    3. Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by your authenticator app into the web page.
    4. Select Verify to complete the setup and continue logging in.

Alert
Contact your Vibe.fyi administrator or the Vibe.fyi support team if you cannot locate the 'Two Factor Auth' page.

Re-Authentication

Once you've configured Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), you'll receive periodic prompts to reauthenticate your account.

  1. When you see a reauthentication prompt, open the Authenticator app that you used during setup on your mobile device.
  2. Find the code associated with your Vibe.fyi account under your email address. 
  3. Copy the details of this code and paste them into the form below the prompt.
  4. Click "Login" to complete the reauthentication process.

FAQ

Codes not working
  • Ensure your phone’s time is set to automatic.
  • Try a fresh code.
  • If issues persist, contact your admin.
Lost or replaced phone

Your admin must reset your 2FA so you can pair a new device or contact the Vibe Support Team
