Uptime Device Dashboard

Uptime Device Dashboard

The Uptime Report provides a real-time dashboard of connectivity of all devices in your Vibe environment. It is your tool for quickly identifying which screens are online, offline, or experiencing issues.

Unlike Downtime Alerts, which notify you of problems, Vibe's Uptime report gives you a complete snapshot of your network at any time in a visual dashboard format.

Accessing the dashboard

  1. Login to Vibe.fyi Portal and click Uptime Report
  2. When you see a warning symbol, it means that there are unconnected screens.

Understanding device status

The dashboard will show you all supported device types, such as LG WebOS screens, Windows players, and Linux players. They are grouped based on their connection state:
  1. Not syncing – the device is powered on but not successfully communicating
  2. OK / Syncing – the device is online and actively communicating with Vibe
  3. Never synced – the device has not yet established a connection

How offline status is determined

Vibe determines whether a device is offline based on how often it checks in, using time thresholds designed to balance quick detection with normal network variability.

  1. WebOS devices are marked offline after 3 minutes without a check-in
  2. Windows and Linux players are marked offline after 10 minutes

When to use the Uptime Report

The uptime report should be your first step when investigating any issue. It helps you:
  1. Confirm whether a screen is offline or simply not updating content
  2. Identify patterns (e.g. multiple devices offline at one location)
  3. Validate whether an issue has been resolved after troubleshooting

FAQ

Why is my screen showing as “Not syncing” but still displaying content?
This usually means the screen has lost its network connection but is still playing previously downloaded content. The device will continue to show stored media until it reconnects and completes a successful sync.
What does “Never synced” mean?
“Never synced” indicates that the device has not yet successfully connected to Vibe. This is common for newly installed screens or devices with incorrect setup settings.

Can a device appear offline temporarily and then reconnect on its own?
Yes. Short network interruptions can cause a device to briefly appear offline. In many cases, the device will automatically reconnect without requiring any action.

Does the dashboard show issues with content, or just connectivity?
The Uptime Device Dashboard only shows connectivity status. A screen may appear online even if there are issues with content or playback. For those cases, check logs or use Device Manager.

What should I do first when I see a warning symbol?

Start by opening the dashboard to identify which screens are affected. Then check whether the issue is isolated to one device or multiple screens before troubleshooting further.

Can I access the dashboard without logging in?
Yes, the Uptime Report can be viewed without logging in, making it easy to quickly check device status when needed.
