Core Platform Concepts

Vibe.fyi / Vibe PortalThe cloud platform for managing content, channels, users, templates, and settings.
ChannelA display endpoint (digital signage, desktop screensaver, or browser) showing content from Vibe.fyi.
SlideA single presentation item that appears on a Channel — can include text, images, video, or embedded URLs.
Playlist / Slide SequenceA group of slides scheduled to play in a defined order on one or more channels.
Vibe Template LibraryPre-designed slide layouts with editable fields to create professional content quickly.
ThemeStyle presets (colors, fonts, visual assets) applied slides.

Content Creation & Media

TermDefinition
ContentAny media or text within a slide designed for display on a Channel.
Media AssetFiles such as images, videos, icons, or logos used within slides.
Dynamic ContentContent that automatically updates from a connected data source (e.g., news, weather, calendars, dashboards and RSS Feeds).
InfotainmentPre-built, automatically updating content streams designed to engage viewers.
Embedded URLA slide that shows external web content inside a Channel (via URL or iframe).
Brand AssetsA set of elements (logos, colors, fonts) added to the Theme for consistent styling throughout slides.
Web Portal
A centralized, gateway-style website that aggregates and organizes content, services, and tools from multiple sources into a single, customizable interface. It often requires user authentication and provides personalized access based on roles or preferences.

Playback & Scheduling

TermDefinition
Advanced ScheduleDefines when slides or playlists display on Channels, including start/end times and recurring patterns.
Recurring ScheduleA repeating schedule (e.g., weekdays 9am–5pm).
Screen Takeover
A controlled UI event that replaces the current screen content in a user’s workflow with a targeted slide at a defined moment in the user’s playlist. The takeover is scheduled by inputting the exact time and the slide to display.

Roles, Users & Permissions

User AccountA person with access to Vibe.fyi, managed in the Admin Console.
User RolePermission level assigned to a user (Admin, Editor).
AdminA user with full access to system settings, channels, and user management.
EditorA user who can create and edit content.
GroupA collection of users for managing permissions, content access, or channel assignments.

Integrations & Data

TermDefinition
Integration

A connection to a third-party platform or data source (e.g. SharePoint, Google Sheets, RSS).

Data SourceLive or static information used to populate dynamic content.
API

An advanced integration that enables data exchange between Vibe.fyi and external applications.

SharePoint

A Microsoft 365 platform for storing and managing content. Used to pull text, images, files, or lists into slides.

Power BI

A Microsoft analytics service used to pull charts, visuals, and reports into slides.
