Using the LG Remote to Control the Vibe.fyi Player App

Open LG settings, open the Vibe.fyi app, and basic navigation

  1. Open LG settings: press the 'settings / cog' button on the remote.
    • Some LG models require long-press to open settings.
  2. Open the Vibe.fyi player app: select the Vibe app from the home/apps list.
    1. If app isn’t visible, check recent apps or app list.
  3. Navigate inside the app: use directional arrows (Up/Down/Left/Right) to move focus between options.
  4. Select / confirm: press OK on the highlighted option.
  5. Result: The Vibe app screen should be visible, showing slide playback or playlist view.

Control slide playback (Play, Pause, Skip, Stop)

  1. Press Play to start slides transitioning.
  2. Press Pause to temporarily pause transitions.
  3. Press Stop to stop slide transitions completely (slides remain static).
  4. Press Forward or Right Arrow to skip to the next slide.
  5. Press Rewind or Left Arrow to go to the previous slide.
  6. Result: Slides should play or pause as expected.

Access player controls, playlist navigation, and individual slide selection

  1. Press Down Arrow to display the player control.
  2. Use Down to skip to the next slide in the playlist.
  3. Use Up to skip to the previous slide in the playlist.
  4. Use Right/Left arrows to move between slides if visible.
  5. Press OK to navigate to the highlighted slide.
  6. Result: You should see controls on screen and be able to select individual slides.
  7. Notes:
    1. Some screens default to auto-hide controls after a few seconds.
    2. If controls won’t open: press Down again or ensure Vibe app is active.

Access app settings and logs

  1. Press Yellow button to open Vibe app settings.
  2. Press Blue button to open Vibe app logs.
  3. Use arrows to navigate input fields or options.
  4. Press OK to select, toggle, or edit a field.
  5. Result: Settings or logs open on the screen and are scrollable with arrow keys.

  1. Use Left/Right/Up/Down arrows to move between inputs, buttons, or fields.
  2. Press OK to:
    • Click a button
    • Edit a text field
    • Toggle a tick box
  3. Press Back to exit a field and return to navigation mode.
  4. Result: Settings respond correctly to arrow and OK actions.

Editing a text field using the LG remote

  1. Press OK on a field to edit it.
  2. Use Left/Right/Up/Down to navigate the on-screen keyboard.
  3. Press OK to select a letter or symbol.
  4. Use 0–9 buttons to enter numeric values where applicable.
  5. Press Back to exit the text field and resume navigation.
  6. Result: Text entry is saved and cursor returns to UI navigation mode.
