How To - Configure WebOS DNS settings

In order to connect to the internet, you're screen needs to have it's DNS settings correctly setup. For best results, we recommend using Google's DNS service. Please see the below steps to set the DNS to Google's.

Step 1: Open the settings on your screen by pressing the 'Settings' button, select 'General'. Under General select the Network settings.


Step 2: Here you will see how your screen is connected to the network, using WiFi or a wired ethernet connection.
  • If your screen is connected using WiFi, select WiFi Connection.
  • If your screen is connected using Ethernet, the DNS will be configured in your router settings, skip to Step 6.


Step 3: Select Advanced WiFi Settings.


Step 4: Here you are can see the settings and IP addresses for your screen, it's ok if you don't know what these numbers mean, that's ok, we're only worried about the DNS setting. To change this, select the Edit option.


Step 5: You may see that the Set Automatically check box is ticked, if it is, go ahead and untick it.


Step 6: Navigate to the DNS settings and set the DNS Server to 8.8.8.8, or if you have an option for a secondary fallback set it to 8.8.4.4. Then just click connect to save the settings.
