SharePoint Integration Options

You can connect various types of SharePoint data to Vibe depending on your communication needs and your service account permissions. Below are the supported integration types and links to the setup instructions on how to configure each one in the Vibe Admin Console:

Calendar Events

Display SharePoint Calendar event data on your Vibe channel.

  1. Go to Add-On Modules > Azure API > Settings in the Vibe Admin Console.
  2. Under the SHAREPOINT SITE CONTENT tab:
    1. Click [+ NEW SHAREPOINT SITE GROUP]
    2. Enter a unique group name
    3. Click [SAVE]

    4. Under the Group Name heading on the left, select your saved group from the list
    5. Click [+ ADD SHAREPOINT SITE]

    6. In the Edit SharePoint Site Content pop-up:
      1. Enter the SharePoint Site URL (where your Calendar Events are managed)
      2. Select Calendar Events as the content type
      3. Click [OK]

    7. Select your saved SharePoint site in the list and
      1. Choose the calendar(s) you want to display
      2. Optional - Set the max. number of items. Default = 20 events.
      3. Click [OK]

    8. Click [SAVE]

Follow the steps to create your SharePoint Calendar Events slide and start sharing automated updates on your Vibe channel.

Site Content

Display SharePoint site page content directly on-screen.

  1. In the Vibe Admin Console, go to Add-On Modules > Azure API > Settings
  2. Under the SHAREPOINT SITE CONTENT tab:
    1. Click [+ NEW SHAREPOINT SITE GROUP]
    2. Enter a unique group name and click [SAVE]
    3. Under the Group Name heading on the left, select your saved group from the list
    4. Click [+ ADD SHAREPOINT SITE]
    5. In the pop-up:
      1. Enter the SharePoint Site URL in the URL field
      2. Select Page Content as the content type
      3. Apply filters (Page Type, Number of Items, etc.) as needed
      4. Click [OK] then [SAVE]
Once saved, it may take 10–15 minutes before SharePoint content becomes available for use in slides.

Excel Data

Display Excel (XLSX) data and any associated images stored in SharePoint folders.
  1. In the Vibe Admin Console, go to Add-On Modules > Azure API > Settings.
  2. Under the SHAREPOINT FOLDERS tab:
    1. Click [+ NEW FOLDER]
    2. Enter the SharePoint folder URL* in the URL field
      The correct way to enter the SharePoint Folder URL is:
      1. Open the folder in SharePoint
      2. Copy the URL in the browser address bar
      3. Remove all other parameters except 'id' before pasting into the URL field
        e.g. https://<domainname>.sharepoint.com/sites/<sitename>/shared%20documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?id=<folderid>


    3. Select Extract Excel Data as the processing type
    4. Click [Save]
Notes
    • The URL must point to a folder containing XLSX files.
    • Repeat the steps to connect multiple folders.
    • Image subfolders do not need to be added unless they contain XLSX data files.
      e.g. Parent Folder (containing XLSX files) - ADD Folder URL
      • Sub folder 1 (containing images only) - Folder URL not required
      • Sub folder 2 (containing images only) - Folder URL not required
      • Sub folder 3 (containing XLSX and images files) - ADD Folder URL

PPTX/PDF (File-to-Slide conversion)

Automatically convert PowerPoint (PPTX) and PDF files into Vibe-ready slides.
  1. Go to Add-On Modules > Azure API > Settings
  2. Under the SHAREPOINT FOLDERS tab:
    1. Click [+ NEW FOLDER]
    2. Enter the SharePoint folder URL in the URL field
    3. Select Convert Files to Images as the processing type
    4. Optional - Enter an email address to receive conversion limit alerts
    5. Click [SAVE]
IMPORTANT - Conversion Notes:
  1. When you save your changes, a message will appear:
    "When you link this folder, any PDF or PowerPoint files it contains will be automatically converted into JPG images.
    Please ensure the folder only contains files you want converted into slides.
    You receive 5 free conversions per month by default. To increase your allowance, please contact Vibe Support."
  2. A file conversion is triggered when a PPTX or PDF file is added or modified in the linked SharePoint folder.
  3. By default, you will receive 5 included file conversions per month. To increase your monthly conversion limit, please contact your Vibe Support team to discuss your options.
  4. When the monthly limit is reached, an email alert is sent to the address entered in the Email Notification field.
