TIP: To install the screensaver on multiple company-owned devices, please discuss 'Group Policy setup' with your IT team.
To adjust when the screensaver activates during inactivity and when your display powers down, follow these steps:
Open System Settings and go to Lock Screen.
Find the option Start Screen Saver when Inactive and set it to 5 minutes (recommended).
Find the option Turn display off on power adapter when inactive and set it to 30 minutes (recommended).
This ensures the screensaver appears promptly to display your content, while the display powers down later to conserve energy.
Apple’s Gatekeeper security feature may display a warning when you install WebViewScreenSaver.saver version 2.4. This is because the screensaver has not been notarised by Apple. Notarisation is an Apple verification step that confirms the developer has submitted the software for automated checks.
This warning does not mean the software contains malware, only that Apple has not reviewed it. WebViewScreenSaver is an open-source project widely used to display web content as a screensaver.
If you trust the source and wish to proceed, you can safely allow the installation by following Apple’s instructions in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Allow Anyway.
Important considerations:
The screensaver displays web content from the Vibe platform. It does not install additional background processes or modify your system.
Because it loads web pages, security depends on both the screensaver itself and the content displayed. Ensure only trusted Vibe content is used.
If your organisation has strict IT security policies, please confirm with your IT team before enabling the screensaver.
