WebOS6 - Upgrade
- Before you go onsite - Download and copy the WebOS6 firmware file onto a USB Flash Drive (with at least 1GB of free space)
- Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer and create a new folder named LG_MONITOR on your USB flash drive

- Download the latest patch (Ask vibe to send the link to download the file) file version 08.05.40 for WebOS 6.0 and save to the LG_Monitor folder
- When the download is complete, eject your USB flash drive.
- When you are onsite
- Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port on your LG webos device
- When the Software Update menu launches, use the LG remote to select UPDATE

- When the update is complete*, the LG device will reboot.

- When the reboot is complete, remove the USB flash drive.

If the LG device is running a newer firmware version (than the one installed on your USB flash drive), select Cancel and remove the USB flash drive.
WebOS6 - Downgrade
This may be required if you installed a beta FW version which is greater than that of an official FW release.
- Before you go onsite - Download and copy the WebOS6 firmware file onto a USB Flash Drive (with at least 1GB of free space)
- Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer and create a new folder named LG_MONITOR on your USB flash drive.

- Download the latest patch (Ask vibe to send the link to download the file) for WebOS 6.0 and save to the LG_Monitor folder.
- When the download is complete, eject your USB flash drive.
- When you are onsite
- Power the LG WebOS device on
- Press the SETTINGS button on the LG remote (or click the button on the Launcher screen)

- Open the General menu

- Press the 7 button, seven times, on the remote control to launch the Software Update menu

- Select the firmware file
- Enable the Ext. MICOM* option.
- Click UPDATE to start updating with the selected firmware

*Enabling the Ext. MICOM URSA (or Ext. MICOM option) allows updating firmware regardless of the micom version already installed on the device.
If the Ext. MICOM URSA or the Ext. MICOM option is disabled, the micom version of the firmware you are trying to update with MUST be higher than the one already installed on the device.
WebOS4 - Upgrade
- Before you go onsite - Download and copy the firmware update onto a USB Flash Drive (with at least 1GB of free space)
- Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer and create a new folder named LG_MONITOR on your USB flash drive.

- Download the latest patch firmware4.0.epk file for WebOS 4.0 and save to the LG_Monitor folder.
- When the download is complete, eject your USB flash drive.
- When you are onsite:
- Insert the USB flash drive with the firmware file into the USB port on your LG digital display.
- When the Software Update menu launches (see below), use the remote to select UPDATE

- When the update is complete, the LG device will reboot.

- When the reboot is complete, remove the USB flash drive.
WebOS4 - Downgrade
- Before you go onsite - Download and copy the firmware update onto a USB Flash Drive (with at least 1GB of free space).Create a new folder on your USB drive:
- Plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer and create a new folder named LG_MONITOR on your USB flash drive.

- Download the latest patch (Ask vibe to send a link to download the old version) for WebOS 4.0 and save to the LG_Monitor folder
- When the download is complete, eject your USB flash drive.
- When you are onsite
- Press the SETTINGS button on the LG remote (or click the button on the Launcher screen)

Open the General menu

- Press the 7 button, seven times, on the remote control to launch the Software Update menu

- Select the firmware file (version must be lower than the current installed version)
- Enable the Ext. MICOM* option
- Click UPDATE to start updating with the selected firmware
