Desktop Player App

Accessing the App

Following the successful install of the Vibe.fyi Desktop Player app on a single PC, the application will automatically run on startup. To open or verify that the app is running, access the app in the hidden icons area of your taskbar.

App Settings

Notes
NB: Settings are not available when deploying the Desktop Player app via a group policy.
  1. Site URL - Enter the unique Vibe.fyi Screensaver URL provided by your Vibe support team
  2. Sync Time - The number of minutes between syncs for screensaver, desktop wallpaper and lock screen
  3. Random start (Screensaver / Desktop background) - To avoid same start slides the Wallpaper Background and Screensaver slides start in a random position
  4. Screensaver
    1. Auth code - Enter your unique Screensaver license Auth code
    2. Information bar sync time - The number of seconds between information bar syncs
  5. Background Wallpaper
    1. Auth code - The Auth code for desktop wallpaper syncing
    2. Image refresh time - The number of seconds between the background image changing
  6. Lock Screen
    1. Auth code - The Auth code for the Lock screen images

The Vibe Desktop Player app automatically minimises to the hidden taskbar when left unfocused for over a minute.

App Logs

To access the app logs, open the app via the hidden icons in your taskbar.
  1. Logs - View player activity and troubleshoot any error logs.
  2. Update (button) - Manually trigger a new sync to download the latest changes from your Vibe portal.
NB: When the Vibe.fyi Desktop Player app is deployed to via a group policy, the Vibe Desktop Player app settings are pre-configured and all users will have access to view the logs and Update slides.
