Screen

Screen is not updating with slides / Screen is blank

  1. Make sure the screen is powered on.
  2. Check the network connection
    1. LG
      Using the LG remote, power the screen on and open the LG menu/settings.
      In the settings, activate the following:

      1. Network (choose one of the options below):
        1. Fixed - Plug the ethernet cable in (recommended)
        2. WiFi - Open General > Network and connect to a strong WIFI network
    2. Samsung
      1. Using the Samsung remote, power the screen on and open the Samsung menu
      2. Navigate to Network > Open Network Settings and choose one of the options below:
        1. Fixed (recommended) - Plug your ethernet cable in and select [Yes] to setup a wired network
        2. WiFi - Select the 'Wireless' option, choose your wifi network, enter the password and select the [Go] button on the onscreen keyboard or hit Enter/Return on your USB wireless keyboard
  3. Check the time in the screen and set it to the proper time 
    1. LG
      1. Date/Time - Open General > Date & Time and
        1. Set the correct time zone (e.g. Oceania > New Zealand > Auckland)
        2. Turn the Set Automatically' setting on
    2. Samsung
      1. Using the Samsung remote, power the screen on and open the Samsung menu
      2. (Required) Navigate to System > Time > NTP Settings and configure the following:
        1. Network Time Protocol = Use
        2. Server URL - Enter the NTP server URL for your timezone 
          (e.g. for New Zealand, you would enter nz.pool.ntp.org)
        3. Time Zone - Select your time zone 
      3. Select [Save]
  4. Check the slide is assigned to the Screen and it is active 

Screen resolution is wrong.

  1. Confirm that the screen resolution is correctly added in the Admin Console.

  2. Double-check the exact resolution of the screen. Even a 1-pixel mismatch can cause slides to appear incorrectly.

  3. Ensure the content orientation (Portrait/Landscape) matches your screen setup.

Video playing in the screen is showing enlarged.

  1. For LG screens: Turn Tile Mode off
    (This option is accessible via the LG remote).

  2. Confirm that the correct video is added to the playlist.

  3. In the slide settings, make sure the Resize Video option is configured correctly.
