Advanced Schedule

Advanced Schedule

Get the Timing Right. With Vibe’s Advanced Schedule, you can decide exactly when and how often your slide appears.
Using our philosophy of drip feedingspaced repetition, and set & forget, you can deliver engaging content, reinforce key messages, and save time by scheduling once and letting Vibe do the rest.

Preload Your Messages

Before scheduling, make sure your content is ready:
  1. Create your slide(s) in Vibe using a dynamic template.
  2. Recommended - Preload multiple messages, then decide the display order or number of items to show at a time.
Example: For a monthly safety campaign, preload 5–10 safety tips, then drip feed messages by setting the Display Order to random and limit the number of items to 1.

Choose Scheduling Option

In the slide editor, open the Attributes tab and enable Advanced Schedule.

Option 1 – One-Time Schedule

Perfect for high-priority or time-sensitive messages without risk of accidental repeats. Use this option for events or announcements that happen on a specific date and time.
Example: Schedule key updates during staff break times (e.g. 1 pm and 3 pm daily).

Option 2 – Recurring Schedule

Spaced Repetition is key for reinforcing messages over time. Use this option to repeat your slide at set intervals.
Example: A weekly safety focus could repeat every few days, while a daily reminder appears at set times.

Screen Takeover

  • The Screen Takeover can be enabled only when Advanced Scheduling is active.
  • Enabling this feature unlocks Screen Takeover locations, allowing you to select locations where the screen take over will apply during the selected dates and times.

Recommended Settings

Drip Feeding

  1. Use Recurring Dates with Daily or Weekly cadence and multiple short time windows within a day (e.g., 09:00–11:00, 15:00–17:00) to space content over the day or week.
  2. For consistency, set a Recurring Date Range that covers the campaign period (e.g., 2025-10-01 to 2025-12-31).
  3. Use descriptive labels in your internal plan (not shown to users) to track which window corresponds to which content piece.

Spaced Repetition (Alternating content across days)

  1. Use Weekly cadence and select a subset of weekdays (Mon/Wed/Fri, for example).
  2. Assign distinct time windows per day if you want different content topics on different days.
  3. Consider a monthly or yearly pattern if you want longer loops (e.g., rotating themes monthly).

Set-and-Forget

  1. Define a clear Recurring Date Range for the campaign duration.
  2. Prefer All Day if you want broad visibility, or multiple precise windows if you want tighter control.
  3. Keep the schedule simple: one primary cadence (Daily or Weekly) with 1–2 time windows to minimise management.

Important Settings to Note

  1. All Day vs. Time windows: Always verify whether you want All Day (no times) or specific Start/End Times. This is the most common source of confusion.
  2. Recurring Date Range activation: Ensure the Recurring Date Range is turned on and has correct Start and End dates; otherwise, the recurrence may run longer or shorter than intended.
  3. Recurring Settings selection nuances:
    1. Daily: ensure the chosen time window aligns with your audience’s peak engagement.
    2. Weekly: confirm which days are selected; weekends may have different engagement patterns.
    3. Monthly/Yearly: be precise about “which occurrence” (e.g., 2nd Tuesday) or “which date” (e.g., July 4).
  4. Specific Dates vs. Recurring: If you mix Specific Dates with Recurring Dates, remember Specific Dates do not follow the Recurring Date Range rules.
  5. Screen Takeover availability: Screen Takeover becomes available only when Advanced Scheduling is enabled. If you don’t see takeover options, first enable scheduling.
