Events (List)

The Events (List) template keeps your audience informed with a clean, organised list view. This easy-to-read layout makes it simple for viewers to scan and find relevant information quickly.

Content source

Once you have created your slide using the Events (List) template, choose a content source to start adding your content:

Web Portal

  1. Select Web Portal from the Content Source dropdown

  2. Add an event
    1. Click [Add Content] to enter your event information using the content editor, then click [Save].
      OR,
    2. Optional: Drag-and-drop event image(s) into the Upload field.
    3. Repeat step 2 to add more events.
  3. When you are ready to go live, add your slide to one or more playlists.

Custom Feeds

  1. Choose Custom Feeds in the Content Source dropdown
  2. Paste the RSS Feed URL in the Custom Feeds field

File Upload (XLSX)

  1. Select File Upload (XLSX) from the Content Source dropdown
  2. Download the Events (List) XLSX data template
  3. To manage events via the XLSX data template, use the available columns to key in the event details (one event per row).

  4. Save your changes and upload the saved XLSX file into the slide editor.
  5. When you are ready to go live, add your slide to one or more playlists.

Google Sheets

  1. Vibe Portal - Download the VIBE-DATA-TEMPLATE_EventsList.xlsx

  2. Google Drive - Upload the the VIBE-DATA-TEMPLATE_EventsList.xlsx to your connected Google Drive folder and add your data
  3. Vibe Portal - Choose Google Sheets in the Content Source dropdown and select your saved Google Spreadsheet

Date/Time

Expected Behaviour for Date Time Overlay

Vibe shows the Date Time Overlay based on the time zone of each device. When you’re previewing slides (including using the 'Preview As' dropdown), you’ll see the date/time in your own local time zone — it won’t switch to another screen’s time zone. As long as each screen’s time zone is set correctly in its system settings, everything will show up at the right time, wherever it is in the world.

Design

  1. Time - Use the toggle to show or hide the event time. 
  1. Shape - Use the colour picker to set your event list background colour.

To help employees make time for the activities, the communications team spotlights Mental Health Week as a multi-day in-office schedule using the Events List Template so the message is clear, consistent, and easy to follow from start to finish.

For this campaign, the team creates a dedicated Events List slide that’s published to a shared internal feed and pushed to all in-office screens. The slide is designed so employees can check what’s happening today and what to expect without needing to search email or calendars. Each day includes the date, a specific time window (so people on rotating schedules can quickly find the right time to drop in), and a short note with the agenda detail—such as what attendees will do, what to bring (if anything), and whether walk-ins are welcome.


FAQ

Can I customize the order of events?

 Yes. You can customize the ordering in two ways:

  • Sort by date: Display events in chronological order (earliest to latest) so staff can plan ahead.
  • Custom order: Manually drag-and-drop 
How do I handle multi-day events?
Include the start and end dates in the event details; ensure the time blocks clearly show the span so readers understand the duration.
Can I add a Status for each event?

 Yes. You can set the status using either the Location field or the Summary field, then customize the display color:

  • Choose the field: Use Location or Summary to indicate the status (e.g., “In Progress,” “Upcoming” or “Completed” as the status tag).
  • Customize color: Go to the Text tab and use the color pickers to assign a distinct font color for each status category (e.g., Upcoming in blue, In Progress in orange, Completed in gray).
