Social Media Feeds

Learn how to create, edit, and manage your social media feeds by connecting your accounts across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Customize your content to effectively showcase your latest updates.

Follow the prerequisite steps to set up your Social Media Integration before you manage your feeds. The steps below require a Vibe.fyi administrator account.

Manage feeds

Create Feed

  1. Open Add On Modules Social Media Feeds
  2. Click [New Feed], use the feed settings to define your social media mashup feed, then click [Save Feed].

Edit Feed

  1. Open Add On Modules Social Media Feeds
  2. In the Feeds list, locate and click the specific feed you want to edit.
  3. In the Edit panel, make any necessary changes to the feed settings.
  4. Once edits are complete, click [Save Feed] to apply your changes.

Delete Feed

  1. Open Add On Modules Social Media Feeds
  2. In the Feeds list, locate and click the specific feed you want to delete.
  3. Click [YES] to confirm deletion.

Feed Settings

General

  1. Name (required) - Enter a unique and recognisable name for your feed. This helps identify the feed easily when creating your Social Media slide.
  2. Number of Items (required) - Set the maximum number of posts you want to display in this feed. This helps ensure that only the latest or most relevant posts appear.
  3. Include Image Posts (optional) - Turn this setting on to include posts with images and enhance visual engagement for viewers.
  4. Include Text Only Posts (optional) - Turn this setting on to include posts with text-only content.
  5. Hide Retweets and Reposts (optional) - Use this setting to exclude retweets (Twitter) and reposts (Instagram), showing original posts only.
  6. Status - Set the status to Active to make this feed visible in the slide editor settings. If inactive, the feed won’t be available for selection.

Facebook

  1. Authenticated User - Select an authenticated Facebook account that has permission to access the desired page(s).
  2. Type - Select the type of Facebook posts to show in the feed

  3. Select a Page - Choose the page to display posts from.

Instagram

  1. Authenticated User - Use this dropdown to connect posts from an authenticated user to your feed
  2. Include Number of Likes - If you want to show the number of likes each post has received, switch the toggle to green
AlertThere is an API limit on the number of unique hashtags that you can search for. The current limit is more than 30 unique hashtags in a 7-day period.
If this limit is reached, any future hashtags that you add will not work. 
Please be mindful of this when adding new feeds.

LinkedIn

  1. Authenticated User - Select an authenticated account
  2. Type - Select 'Updates from a company I manage'
  3. Select a company - Choose the company you manage posts for

Twitter

  1. Type - Select the type of Twitter posts to show in the feed
  2. The following options will show depending on the Twitter type selected in step 3.1
    1. Username - Enter one Twitter user handle to connect the related posts to your feed. You do not need to include the @ symbol (e.g. vibefyi)
      TIP: Repeat steps 3.1 and 3.2.1 to add more usernames to your feed.
    2. Hashtag  - Enter one hashtag that is linked to the tweets you want to include in your feed. You do not need to include the # symbol (e.g. vibefyi)
      TIP: Repeat steps 3.1 and 3.2.2 to add more hashtags to your feed.
    3. Map Point  - Drop the location pin in the general area on the map and set the radius
    4. Search - Enter a keyword to filter the tweets you want to include in your feed
    5. Mentions - Select this option to show any tweets that mention your connected Twitter account
  3. Hide Replies - If you want to hide replies by default, switch the toggle to green
