Manage Feeds

    This article covers Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram feeds. See Data Integrations for more information on Viva Engage (formerly Yammer) & Workplace.
    Before you create a feed, ensure that your social media administrator has successfully connected your social media accounts to Vibe.fyi

    Manage Feeds

    The steps below must be carried out by your Vibe.fyi administrator.

    Create Feed

    1. Open Add On Modules > Social Media > Feeds
    2. Click [New Feed]
    3. Use the settings to define your social media mashup feed
    4. Click [Save Feed]

    There is an API limit on the number of unique hashtags that you can search for. The current limit is more than 30 unique hashtags in a 7 day period.
    If this limit is reached, any future hashtags that you add will not work. 
    Please be mindful of this when adding new feeds.

    Feed Settings

    General

    1. Name (required) - Enter a unique recognisable name
    2. Number of Items (required) - Set the maximum number of posts
    3. Include Image Posts (optional) - If you want to include images in your feed, switch the toggle to green
    4. Include Text Only Posts (optional) - If you want to include text only posts in your feed, switch the toggle to green
    5. Hide Retweets and Reposts (optional) - If you want to hide retweets (Twitter) and reposts (Instagram), switch the toggle to green
    6. Status - Set the status to Active if you want to make this feed visible in the slide editor settings

    Facebook

    1. Authenticated User - Select an authenticated account
    2. Type - Select the type of Facebook posts to show in the feed

    Instagram

    1. Authenticated User - Use this dropdown to connect posts from an authenticated user to your feed
    2. Include Number of Likes - If you want to show the number of likes each post has received, switch the toggle to green

    LinkedIn

    1. Authenticated User - Select an authenticated account
    2. Type - Select 'Updates from a company I manage'
    3. Select a company - Choose the company you manage posts for

    Twitter

    1. Type - Select the type of Twitter posts to show in the feed
    2. The following options will show depending on the Twitter type selected in step 3.1
      1. Username - Enter one Twitter user handle to connect the related posts to your feed. You do not need to include the @ symbol (e.g. vibefyi)
        TIP: Repeat steps 3.1 and 3.2.1 to add more usernames to your feed.
      2. Hashtag  - Enter one hashtag that is linked to the tweets you want to include in your feed. You do not need to include the # symbol (e.g. vibefyi)
        TIP: Repeat steps 3.1 and 3.2.2 to add more hashtags to your feed.
      3. Map Point  - Drop the location pin in the general area on the map and set the radius
      4. Search - Enter a keyword to filter the tweets you want to include in your feed
      5. Mentions - Select this option to show any tweets that mention your connected Twitter account
    3. Hide Replies - If you want to hide replies by default, switch the toggle to green
