Multi-Zone (Image & Video)

Multi-Zone (Image & Video)

This versatile "Multi-Zone (Image & Video)" template offers a range of creative split layouts to showcase media side by side or in dynamic arrangements. Perfect for impactful introductions, comparisons, or highlighting key content, it allows you to customize each zone with videos or images to engage your audience from the very first slide!
Read First:
- Save videos in MP4 format with H.264 codec and a constant framerate.
-  Max. upload size is less than 1GB.
- Remove any unsupported characters from your video filename and use only alphanumeric characters, hyphens, and underscores, e.g. vibevideo1.mp4 not vibe&video(1).mp4.
  1. Create a slide using the Multi-Zone (Image & Video) template
  2. Select the layout that best suits your content needs.
  3. Select whether you want to upload a video or an image for the zones.
  4. For Uploading a Video:

    1. Click on the dotted box in the zone.
    2. Select your video file or drag and drop your MP4 file into the box.
    3. Select Video Resolution - Choose HD for clear visuals or UHD for an enhanced, ultra-high-definition experience.
    4. Repeat the process for the second zone if you want to add a video there.

    For Uploading an Image:

    1. Click on the dotted box in the zone.
    2. Select your image file or drag and drop your JPG, PNG, or GIF into the box.
    3. Repeat the process for the second zone if you want to add an image there.

  5. Resize Options
    1. Fill & cover - Use this option if your video is smaller than your screen resolution and you want to fill and cover the screen
    2. Fit & contain - Let the browser display video at the best aspect ratio (i.e. fit within the screen).

  6. Mute Sound By default, your video audio is muted. Use the audio setting to mute/unmute.

  7. When you are ready to go live, add your video slide to one or more playlists.

Idea
Playing videos on repeat can be an ineffective way of communicating. We recommend using the advanced schedule or screen takeover to create a playback schedule.

Design Tips

  1. Tips for Using Different Multi-Zone Layouts

    • Equal Split (e.g., 1/2 & 1/2):
Use this layout to present two equally important visuals or messages side by side. Ideal for comparisons or showcasing two related ideas with equal emphasis.

    • Majority & Minority (e.g., 1/4 & 3/4, 1/3 & 2/3):
Perfect for highlighting a main feature or key point while supporting it with additional details or visuals. Use the larger zone for the primary content and smaller for supplementary information.

    • Asymmetrical Split (e.g., 2/3 & 1/3):
Create visual interest by giving more space to your main content, while still providing room for supporting visuals or text in the smaller zone. Suitable for storytelling or emphasizing specific content.

    • Use larger zones for focal content to draw attention.
    • Balance visuals and text to ensure your slide remains clear and engaging.
    • Align your media styles—for example, pairing a video with an image can create a dynamic contrast within the layout.
    • Adapt to your story—choose a layout that complements the flow and hierarchy of your message.
  2. Snapshot - To update the snapshot / thumbnail, use the 'Create Snapshot' option in the slide editor.
