Content source

Once you have created your slide using the Events (7 Days) template, choose a content source to start adding your content:

Web Portal

  1. Select Web Portal from the Content Source dropdown

  2. Add an event
    1. Click [Add Content] to enter your event information using the content editor, then click [Save].

  3. When you are ready to go live, add your slide to one or more playlists.

Calendar (Google, Outlook)

InfoFollow the prerequisite steps to set up your integration with Google Calendar or Outlook 365
  1. Select Calendar (Google, Outlook) from the Content Source dropdown
  2. Select the feed you want to display from Calendar dropdown.

File Upload (XLSX)

  1. Select File Upload (XLSX) from the Content Source dropdown
  2. Download the Events (7 Days) XLSX data template


  3. To manage events via the XLSX data template, use the available columns to key in the event details (one event per row).

  4. Save your changes and upload the saved XLSX file into the slide editor.

  5. When you are ready to go live, add your slide to one or more playlists.

Google Sheets

Follow the prerequisite steps to set up your integration and get started with Google Sheets seamlessly
  1. Vibe Portal - Download the VIBE-DATA-TEMPLATE_Events7Day.xlsx

  2. Google Drive - Upload the the VIBE-DATA-TEMPLATE_Events7Day.xlsx to your connected Google Drive folder and add your data
  3. Vibe Portal - Choose Google Sheets in the Content Source dropdown and select your saved Google Spreadsheet

SharePoint (XLSX)

Date/Time

Expected Behaviour for Date Time Overlay

Vibe shows the Date Time Overlay based on the time zone of each device. When you’re previewing slides (including using the 'Preview As' dropdown), you’ll see the date/time in your own local time zone — it won’t switch to another screen’s time zone. As long as each screen’s time zone is set correctly in its system settings, everything will show up at the right time, wherever it is in the world.

  1. Event Time - Use the toggle to show or hide the event's time
  2. Date Time Widget - Use the toggle to show or hide the Date & Time widget
  3. Weekend - Use the toggle to show or hide the weekend (Saturday & Sunday)

FAQ

Can we integrate external calendars (iCal, Google Calendar) for live sync?

Yes, you can integrate external calendars for live sync, but with current limitations:

  • Supported: Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook (Office 365/Exchange) integrations are available for live sync.
  • Not yet supported: iCal (ICS) feeds from generic calendar providers are not available for live sync at the moment.
How do I handle recurring events?
Select the Recurring Dates feature for these events.
  • Choose a recurrence pattern: Set Recurring Setting to Weekly (or another pattern as needed) and select the days the event should appear (e.g., Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat).
  • Define the time span: For multi-day events, specify a start date/time and an end date/time within the same Recurring Date Range configuration.

Can I add location to an event?
You can include the location only in the Title or the text. If you need a location-based slide, we recommend the Room Bookings slide template.
