Data (Dial Comparisons)

Visually compare differences between key metrics such as NPS scores, revenue, costs and more.

Create a Data Dial

Manage via web portal

  1. Create a new slide using the Data (Dial Comparisons) template
  2. In the slide editor > Attributes tab, select Web Portal in the Content Source dropdown
  3. To add your data into the dial, click the Plus button and enter a title, min./max. range and the current value.
    (see Dial Settings below for more details on the dial settings and supported formats)
  4. Click [Save]
Optional - Repeat step 3 to add additional dials. This template supports 1+ dials.
When you are ready to go live, add your Data Comparisons slide to 1 or more playlists

Manage via file upload (XLSX)

  1. Create a new slide using the Data (Dial Comparisons) template
  2. In the slide editor > Attributes tab, select File Upload (XLSX) in the Content Source dropdown
  3. Download the data template
  4. Use the data template (XLSX file) to manage your dial data (see Dial Settings below for more details on the dial settings and supported formats).
  5. Save your XLSX file locally and upload the saved file into the slide editor
Use separate rows to manage multiple dials in your data template. When you are ready to go live, add your Data Comparisons slide to 1 or more playlists.

Dial Settings


Use this information as a guide for managing your dial data:
Field/Column Name

Title
Open text format
Min / Max
Numeric value only - Use these fields to set the data range.
e.g., if your rate is 0-100, enter 0 in the Min field and 100 in the Max field.
Current Value
Numeric value only. Enter the current data metric for your dataset.
Value Prefix
Optional - Supports alphanumeric and common symbols ($, etc)
e.g., enter $ to show the current value as a currency
Value Suffix
Optional - Supports alphanumeric and common symbols ($, etc)
e.g., enter KM to show the current value as mileage
First, Second, Third Compare Label
Optional - Open text format. Use one or more of these fields to set the label for your comparison data. e.g., Last Week, Last Month, Last Year
First, Second, Third Compare ValueOptional - Numeric value only. Use one or more of these fields to show the comparison data.

Content Tips

Headings

Use the Slide Title and/or Sub Title in the Attributes tab to add meaning headings to your slide.

Duration

Use the duration setting in the Attributes to determine how long each dial shows onscreen. This slide supports multiple dials (up to two onscreen at a time).

Advanced Schedule and Screen Takeover 

Use the Advanced Schedule or Screen Takeover to preset the publish dates for your slide.

Dial Pointer Shape

Use the Pointer Image dropdown to select your preferred pointer shape. These images are preset for your convenience.
